Lieutenant governor candidate Lisa Posthumus Lyons has lost her home.
On Sunday night, a fire swept through the home in Alto, in the western part of the state, totaling the home, Jonathan Oosting of The Detroit News reports. Posthumus and her family are safe. The fire started in the garage and there are no signs of foul play.
Lyons, the daughter of former Lt. Gov. Dick Posthumus, grew up in the home and lived there with her husband, Brad, and their children Easton, Charlie, Gage and Fisher.
Our prayers are with Lisa Posthumus Lyons and her family tonight as they lost their home in Alto to fire today. Everyone is safe and we are grateful for that most of all. Please keep them in your thoughts. @LPL4LG
