In February 2017 the Lions announced the Ford Family would invest approximately $100 million into Ford Field for new video boards and several other renovations to be completed in time for the 2017 season. In addition to replacing the video boards, the sound system will be further upgraded along with The Corner Lounge, stadium suites and premium club areas on both the north and south side of the stadium. The new Miller Lite Taproom will accommodate up to 200 fans with fans able to view the on-field action. Last season the Lions lost the Wild Card game for the second time in three seasons, falling to the Seahawks 26-6 in Seattle.
