The Highland Park Ford plant designed by Albert Kahn in 1910 is featured in a TV special "10 Buildings that Changed America."

When it comes to significant buildings in America, the Highland Park Ford Plant, designed by Albert Kahn in 1910, is up there.

Crain's Detroit Business reports that the building is number five on the list in an upcoming TV special "10 Buildings that Changed America."

Kristin Bull of Crain's Detroit Business reports that the special, made by WTTW Chicago in partnership with the Society of Architectural Historians, will air May 13  at 1 a.m. on WTVS-Channel 56 in Detroit.

The building housed the moving assembly line that Ford created.
