Ex-Detroit City Council member Monica Conyers 37-month year prison term will officially ends Thursday, U.S. Bureau of Prison officials said.

Conyers has been serving the final leg of her sentence for bribery under home confinement in Detroit, and has been working at Metro Tech Collision Shop on Michigan Avenue in Corktown.

A worker at the shop told Deadline Detroit on Monday that Conyers wasn't in, but she continues to work there. He said he wasn't sure what her plans were.

Her attorney, Steve Fishman, is unsure what the future holds for Conyers.

"I know she's doing very well," he said. "From what I understand she's working and everything is fine."

After May 16, Conyers will be under supervised release for two years -- required to report regularly to the probation department.

Conyers served time at Alderson Federal Prison Camp in West Virginia. On Dec. 20, she transferred to a halfway house and on Jan. 25 was put on home confinement.
