As we see and hear a lot about the "Dawn of Justice" superhero film opening Friday, and here's an item tailored for Detroit-area residents and visitors.

A free iPhone app has an interactive guide for visiting a dozen local filming locations used in 2014. They include the Guardian Building, Russell Industrial Center, Belle Isle, Michigan Central Station, Masonic Temple, Firt Street and.the World Trade Center on Sixth Street at the edge of Corktown.
"View imagery and videos from the movie as you tour the buildings and areas that served as backdrop," says a promotional page. Fans can download it Friday at the App Store or here.
It was developed by Mutually Human, a Grand Rapids creative studio, and financed partly by the state as a tourism promotion.
“There are plenty of ways to use different industries to spark economic impact and that’s what we want to do through film,” Jenell Leonard at the Michigan Film and Digital Media Office tells Michael Lewis II of Crain's Detroit Business.
The clickable map shows shooting locations from the movie; background about the scene shot at the site along with history of the property, list of nearby destinations to eat, shop or visit; social media sharing functionality; and, “Batman v Superman” library of characters, clips and synopses of scenes.
