An ambulance looks like an ambulance; a taxi looks like a taxi; a fire truck looks like a fire truck, but no such rule applies to Detroit Police vehicles.
Forget for a moment the menagerie of enforcers that include State Police, County Sheriff, U.S. Border Patrol and the Postal Police. Set aside the lesser law enforcement authorities like the Detroit School District, Wayne State, and the catalog of private security companies, and still, you’ll be left with a dizzying array of vehicles that represent the city cops.
Take a look at just a sample of the eclectic fleet of the Detroit Police Department.
