Dequindre Cut Protest
In pleasant sunshine and 80-plus temperatures, hundreds of protesters marched Saturday afternoon from Detroit's Eastern Market through the Dequindre Cut to the Detroit River, chanting "Don't Shoot," "George Floyd," "No Justice, No Peace," and "Black Lives Matter."
Rallies and marches also took place in the morning and afternoon in Sterling Heights, Plymouth, Livonia, Royal Oak, Ferndale, Waterford, Novi, Roichester Hills and Romulus.
Deadline Detroit photojournalist Michael Lucido captured these moments.
