The latest submission is a panorama posted Wednesday by Glenn Pulice, who lives atop the Millender Center on the northwest corner of its 33rd floor.

Why should A-list blogger Andrew Sullivan and his readers hog all the fun with a series called The View From Your Window?

"The view from my building at Detroit City Apartments," says Audrey Dubiel, who lives on Washington Boulevard. "Many, many good times spent on this balcony overlooking the city."

That daily feature, which started in May 2006, is so popular it led to a 2009 book with 190 reader-submitted photos.

So when we spotted a local Redditor's shot of snowy streets taken from his Brush Park apartment on John R last week, we shared it on our Facebook page as inspiration and invited other city views.

The seven contributions here show vistas that are among reasons why living downtown has growing appeal. "Our town is awesome when we let it be," Detroit firefighter Curtis Tonti commented under Audrey Dubiel's's photo (right) from her Washington Boulevard apartment.

Overall, these snaps have earned 700 "likes" at the social media page. We hope to see more posted there.

Louis Delgado, who works at MotorCiy Casino Hotel, shares a dawn view from Club Amnesia.

"Sunrise in The D" is Peter Mays' caption. He has a loft in the Kales Bulding at Adams and Park, opposite Grand Circus Park. The 1914 Albert Kahn landmark was extensively renovated in 2005.

This Brush Park shot from Carlton Lofts on John R, originally posted at r/Detroit by "Zach Attack," inspired our Facebook series. His building used to be the Carleton Plaza Hotel.

John William Versace also has a lofty Washington Boulevard vantage point.

Tim Miles, a Murray Wright High alumnus, posted a Jetsons-like view he says is from Riverfront Towers. It drew 325 "likes," the most in this set.
