Not so long ago, gas prices passed the $4 mark.
Now, we're enjoying some pretty pretty low prices, the lowest since 2009. The national average is $1.99.
The cheapest in Metro Detroit: The Marathon station at 31185 Utica Rd. and Groesbeck Highway in Fraser and Sam's Club at 31720 Gratiot Ave. near Masonic Boulevard in Roseville. Both are selling regular gas for $1.57 a gallon, according to the website GasBuddy.
