Gas prices in Michigan and in Metro Detroit decreased over the past week.
The region's average price dropped 4 cents to $3.31 per gallon of regular fuel, AAA Michigan says. Still, that was $1.09 more than this time last year.
Statewide, the average price for regular gas dropped 6 cents from last week to $3.19 per gallon, but still $1.01 more than this time last year.
