Giving Metro Detroit a Charge: Battery Co. Plans to Add 400 Jobs

More jobs is always good news.

The battery maker A123 Systems Inc. plans to hire 400 people for it two suburban Detroit plants by November, the Automotive News reports.

The publication writes that the company has had some setbacks including a nearly $67 million automotive battery recall.

Automotive News reports that the company employed 1,020 in Southeast Michigan at its peak last year, but now has 781 employees.
