The Dan Gilbert projects just keep on coming.
The latest: A subsidiary of General Motors Co. and Gilbert's Rock Ventures are working on a large-scale mixed-use development east of Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit.
GM's Riverfront Holdings Inc., which owns RenCen, said in a statement to Crain's Kirk Pinho on Friday that it's negotiating with the Gilbert camp to to develop about 10 acres of vacant land now used as surface parking.
"The partners plan to redevelop the land into a mixed-use complex of residential, office and retail," the statement says.
