Hockey great Gordie Howe whose health had been on the decline since having a couple strokes several weeks ago,  had a mini-stroke on Saturday, MLive reports.

Ansar Khan of MLive reports that Howe's son Mark Howe talked about the mini-stroke, but said his dad is resting resting comfortably and was no longer experiencing back pain after having an epidural recently.

"Basically, all the vital signs are good," Mark Howe said on Sunday. "He's been happy, he's comfortable, he's not in pain with his back. They (his caregivers) are doing a good job. You wish things were a little better but I'm happy with the fact he's comfortable. He has his personality. It's going OK."

MLive reports that Howe, 86,  has been living with his daughter Cathy in Texas.

He suffered a major stroke on Oct. 26, and another shortly after, the website reported.
