Detroit Cass Tech High quarterback Jayru Campbell, who made headlines when he slammed a school security guard to the ground, says people will soon find out what his college plans are.

Campbell, who will be a senior next year, had been committed to Michigan State for 2015. But that's no longer a sure thing. He could play somewhere else.

Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News reports that Campbell, who spoke to a small group of reporters Thursday after the first day of the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp at Chandler Park Academy, said he will reveal details of his football future on a taped interview to be aired Monday on WXYZ TV.

“You will see where I’m at in the recruitment process,” Campbell said.

He is scheduled to go off to the Wayne County Jail on July 28 to serve his 60 day sentence for assaulting the school guard.

He wouldn't budge on disclosing his future plans.

“You’ve got to stay tuned. I think everything happens for a reason. A couple schools looked out at me even if I didn’t go to Michigan State. Everything is good.”
