April DeBoer and Jayne Rowse, whose federal lawsuit helped pave the way for legalizing same-sex marriages, are finally getting married.
Amy Lange of Fox 2 reports that the Hazel Park couple set a wedding date of Aug. 22.
"We're really excited, I mean this is what we've been working for," DeBoer told Fox 2. "The end result will be the adoption of all the kids. Jayne and I are looking forward to finally having a valid relationship in the eyes of the law."
"It's amazing, it's amazing," DeBoer said. "It's going to be such an emotional day."
