Ex-Rep. Todd Courser

Todd Courser can't stand to be out of the limelight.

The disgraced ex-state lawmaker,  who currently faces criminal charges for misconduct in office following his scandalous affair with fellow state Rep. Cindy Gamrat, has filed to run for Lapeer County Prosecutor against incumbent Tim Turkelson, Chad Livengood of The Detroit News reports.

Courser, a bankruptcy and tax attorney, apparently made little fanfare of his filing. “Normally he likes to announce to much fanfare," Turkelson tells Livengood. 

Courser resigned from the Michigan House on Sept. 11 just before he was about to be expelled by colleagues. The House expelled Gamrat.
