The Heidelberg Project has surpassed its fundraising goal of $50,000, money it plans to use to beef up security.
But it wants more.
The project's Facebook page noted that it has raised more tthan $51,000.
"We still have Indiegogo fees to tackle!" a note posted around 10 a.m. Thursday said. "We need to overshoot our goal & these next 41 hours are CRUCIAL!"
The project has been plagued by arson fires in recent months. Federal and local law enforcement agencies have been investigating, but so far, no arrests have been made.
