Stephen Henderson characterizes the legal work that Corporation Counsel Krystal Crittendon provided the city of Detroit as "craptacular."
That's not a word, but he believes that sums up how badly Crittendon performed for the city, Mayor Bing and the City Council.
He writes: "And as much as I dread having to suggest that anyone lose a job, there's just no way I can see Crittendon continuing as the city's top attorney."
Bing asked Crittendon not to file the challenge to the consent agreement with the state, hired a private law firm for advice on how to stop her and then filed to intervene in the case she supposedly filed on behalf of the city. It will be impossible for him to rely on her legal advice.
"That attorney-client relationship, crucial to the effective execution of the mayor's job, has been smashed to bits," Henderson writes.
