Capitol Park has come a long way from being a seedy part of downtown to an up and coming, vibrant neighborhood.

Now, the latest addition.

Louis Aguilar of the Detroit News reports that auto supplier Lear Corp. plans to set up a high-tech design studio in Capitol Park in a vacant building at 119 State Street that is owned by Dan Gilbert’s Bedrock Real Estate Services. Aguilar cites "a source familiar with the deal."

The News reports that seats for cars and other vehicles will be designed there.
