Home invasions continue to be a big problem in Detroit.
The latest: Three men all dressed in black and wearing masks announced they were police and barged into a home through Tuesday around 5 a.m. in in the 6300 block of Mettetal Street, near Greenfield and Ford roads, and shot and wounded one of the occupants twice, Robin Murdoch of Fox 2 reports.
Police tell Fox 2 that the the suspects entered the bedroom of the west side Detroit home, demanded money and that everyone lay down on the ground with their heads down. Then they demanded they get on the bed.
They then shot one of the people, a 35-year-old man, twice in the back. His girlfriend and a 5-year-old boy were not hurt.
The man is hospitalized, but his condition was not immediately known.
