Detroiter and MSU grad Mike Vichich is one of a growing number of people who came up with an idea for an app, but didn’t have the technical know-how to build it on his own, according to a recent article in The Wall Street Journal.
The article outlines a bevy of tech tools that can help non-tech people understand what makes apps tick.
Options range from courses in basic coding, to apps that help you build other apps, to tips on hiring the most effective developers.
The Wall Street Journal also recommends sharpening your skills at “Hackathons, Startup Weekends, and Tech MeetUps, or by checking out up-and-coming talent at local colleges and universities.” (Detroit won’t make you look far - it has all of those things.)
