Then miraculously, the following season, his team , which is desperate for a closer, gives him one more chance.

On Wednesday night, Jose Valverde, who rose from the dead, entered the game at Comercia Park in the ninth inning and shut down the Kansas City Royals, one, two, three.
The Tigers won 7-5. And the fans . . . well, they were ready to welcome back the guy they could't wait to see leave at the end of last season.
