Mayor Dave Bing's bumbling quest to win City Council's approval to approve the firing of Krystal Crittendon is a mayoral failure that violates just about every basic rule of politics, writes Daniel Howes of the Detroit News.
"Not counting votes before you call the question, Mr. Mayor, is yet one more manifestation of deepening political impotence, a malady sweeping the mayor's office and council chambers with the force of a municipal wildfire.
