Kid Rock

Michigan's own Kid Rock tells Fox News' Tucker Carlson: "I am uncancelable."

In a video promoting the interview Monday at 8 p.m. on "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Kid Rock responds to this question: "Why haven't you been canceled? Like, people aren't allowed to say what they think. You are."

"I'm not in bed with any big corporate things," he responds. "At the end of the day, there's nobody I'm beholden to: no record companies, no corporate interests, no nothing. You can't cancel me. I love it when they try."

The video airs on the day of Kid Rock's digital release of his album "Bad Reputation."

Kid Rock's antics haven't always been embraced in Detroit, though he certainly has a local fan base.

In 2019, he agreed not to renew the lease on his Kid Rock’s Made in Detroit restaurant in Little Caesars Arena. That followed a backlash for his drunken rant against Oprah, Joy Behar of "The View" and Kathie Lee Gifford on stage at his Nashville bar.

There were protests when he opened Little Caesar’s Arena in September 2017.
