Jennifer Bridges, 35, of Westland says she was sexually assaulted by an Uber driver Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. when she ordered an Uber after spending the night with friends in Walled Lake. It was supposed to be a seven mile drive to Novi where she had parked her car the night before, reports Priya Mann of WDIV.

She got in the car and was sitting in the front seat on the passenger side when the driver said he was lost and pulled over.

"I didn't see it coming," Bridges says. "I was shocked. He threw himself on me with both hands on my chest and he was kissing my neck."

She says she fought the driver off, fell out the car and hurt her foot.

Her phone was dead. The driver took off and she says she limped about a mile to a gas station for help.

Bridges tells the station she's recovering from the trauma of the attack, and it will take months for her foot to heal.

The driver is suspended, Uber says. Northville Township Police are investigating.
