It's been quite a while since the Detroit Pistons have been true contenders in the NBA.

So it's no shock that secondary market tickets — those bought by fans and then resold on official exchanges — rank last in the 30-team league. They're an average of $76 each, according to TicketIQ, a New York firm that gathers ticket resale data via hundreds of resellers, reports Bill Shea of Crain's Detroit Business.
The next-lowest resale average for an NBA team is $89 for the Charlotte Hornets.
Detroit's average ticket value has fallen nearly 21 percent from $96 last year. Detroit's only lower point was a $74 average in 2012-13.
The Pistons' season opener is Wednesday at 7 p.m. against the Brooklyn Nets at Little Caesars Arena.
