Downtown Royal Oak, which has seen a big game of musical chairs in recent times, with businesses coming and going, has a new restaurant.
On Monday, "Iron Chef" Michael Symon's B Spot opens at 11:30 a.m. at 310 S. Main Street, near the Starkbucks, Kristin Bull of Crain's Detroit Business reports. It's described as a burger bar.
Symon opened up a B Spot in Rochester Hills earlier this year, and he has plans for one in Clinton Township. The website says that it has seven locations in Michigan and elsewhere.
Crain's writes:
Symon has called B Spot a casual version of his immensely popular Roast restaurant at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit. The burger menu includes the Yo! Burger, which won best burger at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in 2010, 2011 and 2012, with fried salami, capicola, hot peppers, and provolone cheese; and the Fat Doug, topped with coleslaw, pastrami, stadium mustard and Swiss cheese for $8.99.
