Is someone out to kill Kwame Kilpatrick?
Robert Snell of the Detroit News reports that Kilpatrick told his parole agent recently that someone threatened to kill him. The state has asked for evidence of that, but Kilpatrick has failed to provide it, the News reported.
The News reported that the threat was contained in state prison prison files it obtained.
The files also reveal that the ex-mayor, who has been on trial in federal court in downtown Detroit complained about performing 16 hours of community service, a condition of his parole.
"I was not aware that I would be required to do the 16 hours, during the time that I am on trial," Kilpatrick told his agent, according to the News. The state said he has to fulfill his obligations even while he stands trial.
