The Ilitches are learning that.
On Monday, the city council delayed a vote for a rezoning request for a third time as council members and Olympia representatives tussled over ordinance language requiring redevelopment of a nearby historic building, according to a report by Christine Ferretti and Louis Aguilar of the Detroit News. Council also want to make sure the massive project results in jobs for Detroiters.

Olympia Development's struggle to secure a routine rezoning for its new Red Wings arena has raised questions of trust between city officials and the Ilitch organization, and could threaten the site's projected 2017 opening.
