By now, if you're an Arizona Diamondback fan, you're doing handstands about the recent acquisition of J.D. Martinez from the sinking Detroit Tigers.
On Monday of this week Martinez hit a three-run homer. On Wednesday, he hit two, two-run homers.
And on Thursday night, Martinez hit a grand slam, leading his new team to a 4-0 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals in an away game.
Martinez becomes a free agent after the season. The Tigers could conceivably sign him, but it's not likely considering he would command a big salary and the Tigers are trying to reduce the payroll.
