An eclectic group of people were inducted Friday in the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame at the Max Fisher Music Center, WDIV reports. 

The 2017 class includes:

  • Former Detroit Tigers manager Jim Leyland
  • Former University of Michigan and Detroit Lions lineman Jon Jansen
  • Oakland University men’s basketball coach Greg Kampe
  • Former Michigan State and NFL wide receiver Andre Rison
  • Former Michigan Fab-Five member Jalen Rose.
  • Former Detroit Piston Dennis Rodman
  • Sports journalist Mitch Albom
  • Dean Look who played for the Chicago White Sox, NY Titans of the AFL, and Michigan State baseball and football teams. 

Look and Rodman did not attend the event, WDIV reports. 

The Hall of Fame wrote on Facebook:

Due to scheduling conflicts Dennis Rodman & Dean Look will not be in attendance at tonight's induction event. The HOF looks forward to both participating in the 2018 induction event.
