Six Detroit players are on the American League All-Star roster and a seventh Tiger could slide in this week,
Pitcher Joaquin Benoit is among five prospects who'll be narrowed to one in a final choice by fans. To vote by 4 p.m. Thursday, click here.

Miguel Cabrera, Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Prince Fielder, Torii Hunter and Jhonny Peralta will represent the D on July 16 at Citi Field in New York, it was announced Saturday. That's the most from a Tigers' team since 1985.
Miggy, starting at third base, is playing his eighth All-Star game. Fielder and Hunter are making their sixth appearances.
Tigers manager Jim Leyland will manage the league All-Stars in the 8 p.m. game, to be aired on Fox.
“Justin Verlander was my only (Tigers) addition to the team," Leyland said Saturday. "Everyone else (from Detroit) was voted on by the players.” He spoke in Cleveland minutes after the Tigers beat the Indians, 9-4, for their fifth consecutive victory, Lynn Henning reports in The Detroit News.
Leyland was unapologetic about a heavy six-man Tigers delegation in 2013, saying, with a nod: “We did go to the World Series last season.”
