Get out of the way, Covid! Herpes and HPV dead ahead!
The show will go on at Gull Island this summer, organizers of the annual Jobbie Nooner announce in what is absolutely no surprise to almost anyone.
The message is for revelers to stay on their boats during the Friday, June 26 event, thereby distancing their party from other parties.
But will drunk people from Macomb really follow that guidance? Metro Times' Senior Jobbie Correspondent Jerilyn Jordan fielded the question to the Jobbie Facebook group, and got a resounding "probs not."
OK, just a few people replied to her inquiry. Brian Smith said: "Not me lol I wanna get close to some BATs ... Big Ass Tiddies!"
A Clifford Story posted a photo of a woman in a mask that says "this mask is as useless as our governor."
Covid-19 cases have been on the decline in Metro Detroit, but epidemiologists and political leaders have warned of a second surge if people don't follow precautions like distancing and wearing masks.
