John Krasinski of 'The Office' Joining Detroit Riot Film

John Krasinski who played "Jim" on the NBC show, "The Office," is the latest addition to a film on the Detroit riots, the Detroit Free Press reports.

He joins John Boyega of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," Anthony Mackie of the "Avengers," Jason Mitchell of "Straight Outta Compton" and Hannah Murray of HBO's "Game of Thrones," Julie Hinds of the Freep reports. 

The movie is filming in Boston but is also expected to do some filming in Detroit.
