A weekend that started at a Royal Oak bar left two people injured and another arrested on two counts of felonious assault with a vehicle.

Manhal Najib, 28, is charged with purposely driving into two people after a bar fight, Ann Zaniewski reports in the Detroit Free Press.
He has also been charged with two counts of failing to stop at the scene of a personal injury accident, one count of failing to stop after a collision, and one count of failing to report an accident, all misdemeanors.
A fight broke out between two groups of people early Saturday morning in the basement of the Jolly Pumpkin at 419 S. Main Street, according to police. Security guards kicked the groups out.

Najib, who lives in Sterling Heights and has a criminal record, allegedly got into a Buick Rendezvous and rammed into a couple.
"Witnesses stated the vehicle appeared to intentionally strike the female victim, turn, and then strike the male victim," the city posted on its Facebook page. "The vehicle struck two signs and a parked vehicle before backing over the male victim again, then fleeing the area." . . .
Authorities said Najib has past convictions of aggravated assault, domestic assault, felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, attempted maintaining of a drug house, failure to obey a traffic order and misdemeanor attempted larceny of a building.
The two victims were not seriously hurt. Najib was arraigned Monday, with bond set at $250,000.
Jolly Pumpkin opened in the suburb's downtown a year and a half year ago.
