A bespectacled grandmother Sandra Layne listened in 48th District Court Monday as a taped phone conversation was played of her grandson Jonathan Hoffman, 17, talking to a 911 dispatcher on May 18 in West Bloomfield Township.
"My grandma just shot me — I'm going to die."
Detroit News reporter Mike Martindale reported that later, Hoffman is heard saying: "No, grandma," and then tells the dispatcher "I just got shot again — help, help!"
Two police officers who responded to the shooting testified in court that when they arrived at Layne's condo, she said: "I just shot my grandson."
She is charged with open murder.
At the end of the hearing, her case was bound over to Oakland County Circuit Court for trial, the News reported.
