
Jury selection in the Kwame Kilpatrick case is taking longer than expected.
So opening statements, which had been scheduled for Friday in downtown Detroit, will take place next Thursday on Sept. 20, WDIV reports.

Kilpatrick is faces a flurry of public corruption charges along with co-defendants, his dad Bernard Kilpatrick, contractor Bobby Ferguson and former water department head Victor Mercado.
