Kid Rock isn't budging when it come to the Confederate flag.

When fans and activists pushed for him to denounce the flag, he issued a statement to Fox News this week, saying: "Kiss My Ass."

Now, the Detroit chapter of the National Action Network, a New York-based group founded by the Rev. Al Sharpton -- which protested against Kid Rock earlier this week in Midtown -- is demanding that General Motors cut its ties with the Michigan star. Chevrolet is sponsoring Kid Rock's summer tour.

The group wants to meet with GM CEO Mary Barra, Detroit Free Press reports.

Earlier this week, GM issued a statement in support of Kid Rock and reiterated its support again on Friday.

"We are committed to our sponsorship of Kid Rock's summer tour and are confident that he will provide his fans, many of whom are proud Chevrolet owners, with a spectacular concert experience that celebrates American Freedom," the statement from earlier this week read, according to the Freep.

Let's see who backs down.
