Kid Rock knows how to stir controversy.
You might recall in December he lost his job as grand marshall of the Nashville Christmas parade after he called Joy Behar a "bitch" on Fox & Friends.
Now some people are unhappy with a sign he plans to install at his recently opened frestauyrant, Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse in Nashville.
The soaring 20-foot tall neon sign will feature a giant guitar with with a base that's the shape of a woman's buttocks, reports The Tennessean newspaper:
The Metro Council late Thursday voted 27-3, with three council members abstaining, to approve the necessary aerial encroachment to allow for the construction and installation of the sign, which was produced by Nashville-based Joslin and Son Signs. Mayor David Briley signed into law the council resolution authorizing the sign on Friday.
But its approval didn't sit well with several council members, who called the sign tacky and bemoaned that Lower Broadway has steered further away from a place for music and family fun and closer to something that resembles Las Vegas or Branson, Mo.
But Channel 5 in Nashville interviewed some people in the street who felt that the sign is fine.
