Lauren Crocker

Detroit’s WDVD 96.3 FM morning drive show with Blaine Fowler has a new talent.

You might recall that Fowler's drive-time partner Allyson Martinek was fired in July from the "Blaine & Allyson in the Morning Show."

Bill Shea of Crain's Detroit Business reports that beginning Wednesday Lauren Crocker, who had been host of sister station WDRQ-FM’s weekday “The LC Show” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., has joined Fowler.

Shea points out that Atlanta-based WDVD owner Cumulus Media Inc. doesn’t indicate that Crocker is a replacement for Martinek or a co-host of the program, and instead refers to her as a "cast member."

Don't worry Cumulus. The Detroit market isn't smart enough to figure out she's a replacement for Martinek.

The other on-air talent for the show includes producers Matt Laurinec and Joe Santos, Shea reports. -- Allan Lengel
