The number of deaths associated with an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease in the Flint area now stands at 12, up from 10, the Detroit Free Press reports.

“To date, 91 cases and 12 deaths have been identified in total for 2014 and 2015 in Genesee County,” Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Chief Medical Executive Dr. Eden Wells said in a statement released Monday, according to a Freep report by Elisha Anderson.

Some officials suspect there may be a link to water from the Flint River, but currently that has not been confirmed.
