Lions Need Lots of Help From Other Teams to Make Playoffs

It's often complicated and seldom easy when it comes to the Detroit Lions reachging the playoffs. This season is no different for the team, which is 8-6 and in second place in the NFC North.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press writes:

The Lions’ playoff odds currently stand at 14%, according to FiveThirtyEight.com. They’ll be eliminated from postseason contention with their next loss, and since the Saints and Falcons meet in a win-and-in game this week (and the Falcons and Panthers play in Week 17), there are only a few scenarios in which they can get a wild card.

He lists four ways the Lions can snag a postseason spot.
