Local Bollywood Promoter May Be OxyContin Dealer, Feds Say

Deepak Kumar, a Washington Township resident and Bollywood promoter, has been accused of drug trafficking.

An entertainment promoter (allegedly) caught up in the drug trade? I know, right? Things like this never happen.

According to the complaint in federal court, Kumar is accused of peddling OxyContin through his home health care company, which is known for its bright color palate and elaborate dance numbers.

Because Bollywood!

Actually, Kumar's Bollywood connection appear to be highlighted by a Silverdome concert that never happened. The stage collapsed before the show. A regular Bill Graham, this one. Really, this is less Bollywood hot shot and more tacky local health care outfit accused of tacky health care/drug fraud. -- JTW
