Lauren Podell of WDIV reports that Phinney of Rochester has quit the law biz to open a brewery in Marysville, a little town in St. Clair County. The brewery, the Harsens Island Brewery, is slated to open in August.
"I brewed beer for a long time, but began doing it more seriously five years ago. And people would tell me how good the beer was,” Phinney tells WDIV.
The brewery, which will also serve food, couldn't brew on nearby Harsens Island because the septic system couldn't handle it.
"So we looked for a city that was willing, and Marysville was the spot," Phinney said.
