He blocks a unanimous consensus among sportswriters at the Detroit dailies who take a try at forecasting he final score of today's Michigan-Florida, which tips off at 2:20 p.m. on CBS in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

Florida's defense remains stifling. And since everybody was wrong about Kansas, somebody has to pick the Gators, right? Florida 71, Michigan 66.

The other predictions by four colleagues and two Freep writers have the Wolverines reaching the Final Four with a victory margin of two to 10 points.

"If this team had only Trey Burke, it would be in trouble against Florida. But Michigan has several talented players, including Mitch McGary -- who has been incredible in this tournament," writes Jeff Seidel of the Free Press, who guesses at a 75-69 final score.
