The show "Low Winter Sun," AMC's Detroit cop show, went out with a whimper late last year. It was canceled in December after one season.
The show had a talented cast including Mark Strong, a British actor, who played one of the lead roles.
Since the cancelation, we haven't heard what's become of the cast. But the other day, we did have a siting for Strong.
The British actor appeared in a $4-million TV commercial for the luxury car Jaguar during the Super Bowl. The ad has subsequently been aired on the networks.
Strong, along with actors Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston play stereotypical Brit villains in the amusing commercial.
This time Strong doesn't have to disguise his English accent like he did in "Low Winter Sun."
Actor Hiddleston says: "Have you ever noticed that in all the Hollywood movies, all the villains are played by Brits?"
Strong replies: "Maybe we just sound right."
Later he says of the Brit villains: "And we all drive Jaguars."
