Schooling is all about learning.
And Madison Heights School Board member Melvin Rose has learned a lesson: Stay away from women whose husbands have guns. Or better yet, stay away from married women.
Fox2 reports that Rose was shot and wounded in the arm in a dispute with the husband of a woman he was dating. Now, he's expected to resign from the school board.
"She kept telling me she was divorcing her husband. She was leaving," Rose told Fox2.
Rose, who is not married, went to the woman's Madison Heights home Sunday morning. He said he went there to help the woman who he thought might be having problems.
It ended in a confrontation with the husband.
The two squared off, got into a fight. The husband had a gun and it discharged.
Fox2 reports that Rose drove himself to the hospital and the husband was arrested but later released because the gun may have accidentally discharged.
