Some folks have fantasies about doing crazy things.

Others with less impulse control do those crazy things.

WXYZ's Anu Prakash reports that a man jumped behind the wheel of an empty school bus that was warming up at the Safeway Transportation Company parking lot on Conant in Detroit around 5:30 a.m. The bus was supposed to pick up students.

The driver went inside while the bus warmed up, and when the driver came out the bus was gone.

A video camera on the bus shows that the busjacker drove to the Ambassador Bridge, but didn't have the toll to enter Canada, so he was turned back, WXYZ reports.

Then he drove along I-75 where he sideswiped a car and kept driving, Anu Prakash reported. He stopped at a Warren apartment complex and the bus company was able to remotely turn off the bus and locate it with GPS.

The man, who WXYZ said may have mental illness, was arrested. -- Allan Lengel
