The family of the man accused of stabbing 4 people on a Chicago-to-Port Huron Amtrak train on Friday night says he suffers from mental illness.
Ethel Williams, the grandmother of Michael Williams, 44, tells Fox 2:
"There is something wrong with him. Everywhere he goes he thinks someone is following him."
Williams was arrested in southwest Michigan after he stabbed and wounded four people on the train. It was unclear why he did it.
Williams, who raised Michael like her own child, said he joined te Army at age 18, told Fox 2 that he saw combat as part of Operation Operation Desert Storm.
After that, he was never the same. He acted paranoid and delusional, the family says, according to Fox 2.
"He kept saying somebody was chasing him, that they were trying to kill him," says Williams.
