The Maple's current bar and lobby lounge.

The Maple Theater in Bloomfield Township, which did some impressive renovations in 2012, and created a luxury-like theater, is expanding its operation, The Detroit News reports.

Adam Graham reports the Maple plans to renovate the lobby to make it easier for patrons to move about and to make room for a full kitchen that will serve comfort food like sandwiches, hamburgers and fries. The renovation is expected to be completed by April.

Additionally, the theater plans to open a new location and will take over the West River Theatre at 9 Mile Road and Grand River in Farmington Hills, the News reports.

Gramham reports that the theater will shut down Feb. 1 and reopen May 1.
